Holobiont is a term that suggests that multicellular beings (like humans) are made from a plathera of species of bacteria who form relationships (ex: a symbiotic, parasytic, etc.) with other colonies; thus demonstrating that we aren’t really individuals as we think.
To prove that I am a multi-species entity, I sampled bacteria from my own body (from places like inside of my elbow, scalp, etc.) and grew it in typographic forms, spelling out “holobiont”.
I got to observe how the human loses control of the typographic forms once the petri dish lid is closed for good, leaving the rest to the bacterial consciousness.
